time delayed

Hi,

I am having trouble saving the data using the ‘Write to measurement to file’. I am using Lab 8.2 with module NI-9211

Here is my problem. I have many channels and I have set the clock setting to (sample to read = 2 every 0.5 sec). Each of these data acquired in DAQ assistant goes into a function in Labview and provides an output. I ‘ve then used the ‘Write to measurement to file’ function to save my data i.e. input and output data after  running for 20 sec. In the saved file, many input data and these data are correct and the time corresponds exactly to the time set in NI-DAQ. However, I am recording only 4 or 5 output data listed in the saved file. Can

Any suggestions.

Thank

Glenn

Hi Glenn

Thanks for posting your query on the National Instruments Discussion forums.

I gather from what you have written that you’re 9211 multifunction DAQ module is working correctly and that the values read are ok according to test panels in Measurement and Automation Explorer utility. I understand with the LabVIEW block diagram you have used the DAQ Assistant Express VI to set up the acquisition for a number of channels on this device. I’m wondering what function you have then used next on the block diagram just before you have performed the logging within the Write to Measurement file Express VI. I believe that you are logging the timestamp for the data acquired to a LabVIEW measurement file? What settings have you set up in the write to measurement file express VI? Have you used any structures or loops, any timing functions etc. on the block diagram?

I would be grateful if you could elaborate on the issue a little further and perhaps attach you’re VI to the discussion forum board for me to inspect the block diagram code and advise further.

Kind Regards,
