wiring signals and GND to PCI 6259

Hello,
I have a position encoder that produces 3 differential signals. There's a AM26LS32 that converts differential signals from encoder into 3 TTL signals. These TTL signals must be connected to a PCI 6259 daq board.
I'd like to knw if I must connect also ground of AM26LS32 to the pin DGND of PCI 6259.
The problem is that AM26LS32 ground is connected to 5V power supply of encoder and microchip supplied by a small transformer wired to building electrical mains.
Is there any proble for DAQ? Do I have to connect ground to DGND?
I hope to have explained my problem

Good morning,

Well if you check this document:

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4623

It seems that you will need to connect that pin as you mentioned. I also believe that coz if you dont there is no reference for the TTL signals,
