DAQExpress crashing upon startup

Hi, 

I've recently installed DAQExpress on a laptop, and it was working erratically initially but now crashes everytime I try to open it. The error message provided is 'TargetInvocationException' with the offer to send an error report to NI (which I've done).  I've had a little look online and I can't find any reports of similar problems, so any help would be much appreciated.

There are some previous instances of a similar issue occurring and in this case the error with DAQ Express was due to the installation process. The solution would then be to uninstall the software and re-install to ensure a clean install.

Which version did you try to install? I just wanted to update from my DAQExpress 1.0 to 3.1, but after many restart I noted finally, that DAQExpress 3.1 aborted during the startup repeatable. So I'm in the process of installing DAQExpress 1.0 again.

Too I noted, that DAQExpress 2.x cannot read projects created by DAQExpress 1.0. At least on my notebook with Win10 it reads the project, but it is not possible to access the trace data. I wonder why this is not in the issue list, am I really the only one having this experience?
