Can Dasylab measure resistance values?

Hey guys,

I don't actually own a copy of Dasy Lab, but before I invest I wanted to know if it would be capable of measuring resistance values between leads, similar to how a multimeter would do it I guess.

Thanks for your help,

Josh

Josh,

It will depend on your data acquisition device, and whether DASYLab supports that device.

Generally speaking, it should work, with appropriate hardware.

You can download an evaluation version of DASYLab Pro which will work for 28 days. That should give you time to determine if it will work.

Josh,

I'm unsafe, but is the measurement hardware

- HBM Spider8 http://www.hbm.com/en/menu/products/measurement-electronics-software/universal-data-acquisition-syst...

or

- HBM QuantumX http://www.hbm.com/en/menu/products/measurement-electronics-software/universal-data-acquisition-syst...

correct for your application?

Payed DASYLab drivers are available for these devices.

Best regards,

MHa

Josh,

To measure resistance there are many options as well as Measuramnet Computing USB-2404 series unit that would work very well with DASYLab.

Hello Josh,

Yes, it's very easy to do resistance measurement using Dasylab.

You have to choose an adapted measurement hardware.

Generally, I use Instrunet for this measurement, but there are other type. Instrunet is directly supported by Dasylab (no more fees for the driver).

You can use either Voltage diviser method or bridge circuit:

You can choose, it's work fine and it's very precise.

Good choice!
