Dasylab response time

I am trying to develop a worksheet to display response time. I have a mechanical actuator the activates with a 24vdc signal. At the end of the actuator we have a fiber optic sensor to detect when the actuator went to full stroke. The fiber optic sensor has a analog out signal the is going into Dasylab analog in channel. I also have another analog in channel from the the signal that activates the actuator. We want to know how long it takes from the time the actuator receives 24vdc untill the fiber optic sensor see's the pin on the actuator sticking out at full stroke. Any ideas, so far no luck. The actuator is fast, probably operates around 20ms. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

Use the combi trigger with two inputs channels, the on trigger will be for the solenoid and the off trigger for the sensor, and connect the output to a counter module with the "time for high level" as an option.  The output will be the duration for your actuator dispacement.

Of course, I would use at least 1000Hz per channel sampling rate.
