Hi all, I'm trying to install DASYLab onto a new computer running Windows 10. I want to use DASYLab in conjunction with a Measurement Computing device, which I have successfully done with other computers running Windows 10.
On my new computer, I encounter an error during the DASYLab install, which I've never encountered before:
The "NI VC2008MSMs x64" installation has failed with the following error: Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {53EF73B0-18B5-32DE-B765-B5F7F5D69550}. HRESULT: 0x80070003.
This does allow me to continue to install DASYLab. I've then installed InstaCal as required, but when I try to enable the Measurement Computing package within DASYLab I get an Error 1935 again. This seems to be related to the issue with NI VC2008MSMs during the DASYLab install. Any ideas how I can get around this problem?
Best Regards,
James Darlington

Try downloading DASYLab 2016 SP1
First, disable the MCC driver in the DASYLab Configurator, if it is enabled.
Then uninstall DASYLab 2016. Delete the program files folder for DASYLab.
Open the Control Panel, Programs and Features (not the Windows 10 Apps).
Click on Turn Windows Features On or Off
Turn on .Net Framework 3.5, and allow it to install completely.
Install DASYLab 2016 SP1, downloaded from this link
https://www.mccdaq.com/Software-Downloads
Enable the MCC Driver.
Let me know if it installs correctly.

Hi CJ,
I've just tried completely uninstalling DASYLab, removing the directory completely, ensuring the .NET Framework 3.5 was turned on, re-installing DASYLab and then installing the SP1.
During install I got the same error message, concerning VC2008MSMs, error 1935, HRESULT: 0x80070003.

Did you install from the SP1 full installer? That's subtlety different than applying SP1 to the installed DASYLab 2016, 14.0.0

From my developer
This appears to be related to a corrupt registry. I found this on the internet:
There appear to be several utilities of this type. I am not recommending this one, but the customer should probably do a search and choose the one he likes.
