We have encountered this problem at one customer site, and resolved it by re-installing DATASOCKET V4.0. Please contact us at support@dasylab.net if this does not resolve your problem.

DataSocket is not the way to talk to Excel. You need to use DDE output or ODBC output. We have posted two application notes on the www.dasylab.net web page, under support, describing DDE and ODBC application setup with DASYLab.
Measurement Computing (MCC) has free technical support. Visit www.mccdaq.com and click on the "Support" tab for all support options, including DASYLab.

Okay, there are two main ways of using the export functions in Daisylab. You can use datasocket server to output to it. The data posted to this server can then be read by using read from datasocket function.
However, if you wish to communicate with the fieldpoint modules, then you need to use opc. To test to see if hardware is configured properly, perform the following checks.
1. Connect hardware as explained in product manual (i.e. fieldpoint).
2. Load fieldpoint explorer and configure the network modules as well as the i/o modules. Then save the iak file and quit fieldpoint explorer
3. Then load daisylab example (either daisysocket_web or daisysocketwebclient stored under examples directory).
4. Double click the export function.
5 Select custom
URL and then click on select item
6. Select national instrument opcfieldpoint
7. Select the module...then the channel.
8. Click OK and then run example.
9 If running the example with the slider, then move slider and watch the output (i.e. fieldpoint module).

If the above doesn't work then you can download datasocket ver 4 (about 12MB). By experience, it has worked for a customer who experienced similar problems
