How to connect to an OPC XML DA Server

In order to retrieve data from an automation server i need to connect Dasylab to a OPC XML DA Server.

How is it possible to connect Dasylab to an OPC XML DA Server?

Is only the standard OPC DA supported?

OPC DA based on DCOM, OPC XML DA based on XML and SOAP. I'm not complete shure but I think the current DASYLab OPC DA Client support - under usage from internal OPC DA API functions - only OPC DA Servers.

It seams to be like that, but I find nether in the documentation of Dasylab nor in any webcontent the description of what exactly is supportet by the Dasylab OPC client. 

Probably there exists an easy workaround with an OPC DA - OPC XML DA translation tool?

If anyone has worked yet with Dasylab in combination with an OPC XML DA Server I would be very glad to read from you!

It's great if you can tell us your results, we have not yet experience to use this way. Which DASYLab Version do you use?
