RS232 Visualisation

I want to present data from a measurement device with the so-called "AK-Protokoll" (AK-protocol) and make it available for/import it into Excel. 

For testing, I have used the monitor in the module "RS232-Eingang" (RS232-Entrance?). When I send the string „\x021AKON K0\x03“, the response is something like „STX #0.12345 <ETX>. 

I cannot show/present anything with the digital display. Is the data format/data type the reason for this? Which format needs to be selected/is the right one? How can I visualize the data or a string?

Hi Juergen,

I think you just need to define the "measurement data format" in the RS232 input module.

Goto options in the module, select "data request = yes", now you will have the possibility to put your request string "\x021AKON K0\x03" in the measurement data request fiels, now you have to define the measurement data format field. It will look like "STX" 2X 7a, this will search for STX skip the next 2 characters and select the next 7 as the output.
