enabling excitation voltage/current on a PCI4472 DAQ card

Hi all
I have connected an ICP accelerometer (PCB model 353-B33) to a NI-PCI4472 DAQ card and I cant figure out how to enable the excitation voltage/current from this board. Aparently this function is software controlled. I am running Dasylab V9.0 and DAQMX V8.0 According to the datasheet for this card I should be able to produce a constant current of 4mA to work with ICP(IEPE) devices, I am wondering is there an option or setting that I have missed somewhere?

Thanks in advance for your help and time 🙂

When you configure the NI-DAQmx task for your accelerometer, you have an opportunity to enter the excitation source (Iex) and value.
The NI-DAQmx task takes most of the pain out of configuring advanced sensors - you can define the range, sensitivity, scaled units, excitation, as well as the acquisition parameters - rate and samples to read. This is also the place to configure hardware triggering.

DASYLab then connects to the task through the NI-DAQmx Analog Input module. Most of the work is done in the NI-DAQmx layers, which delivers scaled data to DASYLab.

Thanks CJ.

At first I had already thried all that but it turned out to be a faulty connection to the DAQ board hence no input.

Thanks again for your advice it is always helpful Smiley Happy
