There are several easy ways to update a DASYLab Global Variable. If this is your question, here is the answer:

1- Under Options/Define Global Variable, set up the variable with "Type in at Start of Experiment" checked. Then, every time the acquisition experiment starts, the user will be prompted for the value.

2- Use an Action module to "Enter Global Variable". This action will display a prompt to the user to enter the specified values. You can enter a list of variables to be updated. Any legal Event can be specified. Many users set up a Switch Module (One-Shot), where the user clicks the switch, and the rising-edge event causes the Action to pop up the prompt to enter the variable. You can also use Key Events to specify this action. (Optio
ns Menu)

3 - Use a Slider module as the user entry technique. Set up the slider to look like a data entry box (Slider Properties: turn off "with slider" to remove the actual slider display, leaving only the value entry field. The slider can then connect to a Variable Write module, or act as input to any other module.

I hope this helps.
