VIEW contour legend item width

Hello!

One of our users recently reported being unable to change individual VIEW 3D Contour legend item widths.  When attempting to drag the individual legend item borders in a contour, they immediately snap back to the original size.

Attempting to script this also fails to work (doesn't error, just doesn't change the size):

VIEW.ActiveSheet.ActiveArea.DisplayObj.LegendItems(1).Width = 100 

2D Graphs already have this functionality, so it's more a consistency item...This is not a high priority, but a feature that would be desirable in future versions of DIAdem.

Hey Josh,

Did you mean the width of the first legend property field or the width of the overall legend.  In the latter case you can use this approach:

View.ActiveSheet.ActiveArea.DisplayObj.LegendWidth = 100

Brad, each legend item (I only included the legend width setting of the first as an example).

I attached an image with an example of a 2D and 3D graphs where the legend widths are set to the same, but the individual legend item width in 3D contour legend cannot be set or even manually resized (whereas the 2D ones can).  This means that for 3D contours in VIEW, you can only display 9 character or less legend items.

You're right.  That property doesn't do a thing programmatically, and the legend field widths can't be moved manually like you said.  Good points.

This looks like a bug. I will notify R&D and hopefully it gets fixed in the next version.
