Can not get DIAdem to acknowledge activation of additional copy at home

I have activated a second copy of DIAdem 10.2 Advanced Edition on my home PC using the serial number and activation code provided but when I start DIAdem it keeps requesting activation or allows me to use an evaluation copy only.  The activation process completes propoerly each time and the licence manager shows this version as being activated (the professional version is indicating evaluation only but this isn't the version we have purchased).  How do I get the advanced version to run properly?

Hi,

It just looks as though the license is attempting to activate a different version, under NI License Manager you should be able to activate Advanced edition by double clicking it in the tree, this will then send you through the same activation wizard and should hopefully work for you.

I think you must be right but I've tried activating through the license manager but the same thing happens.  I really want it to stop trying to activate the pro version; can I do this?

Hi,

I'm surprised this is asking you each time, you have a few options although I can't think why this is occuring on each install

Before doing this (out of interest) are you changing any of the network settings on your PC between boots or turning off/unplugging your network cables?

  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses and move all the "DIAdem_" licenses other than ADV to a temporary folder to see if this helps
  2. Call NIUK Tech Support on 01635 523545, explain the issue you are seeing and request an activation code instead to see if this cures the issue
