Hi Anne,
It sounds like the default license files either were not installed, or they were removed at some point. You can get these licenses again from our website. You will need to place them in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses\ and then activate the license you have from NI License Manager. Hope this helps!
