Change/add openstreetmap server

How can I changed or add a openstreetmap server?

In the map options there are only two openstreetmap servers available and I want to change or add one.

Hi Vincent,

What OpenStreetMaps server would you like to connect to?  NI doesn't have any control over the OpenStreetMaps servers, so you can only connect to servers that OpenStreetMaps has already set up.

Hi Brad,

I have my own map server with a custom map. Its like openstreetmap. If I can change the server or even better add one to the drop down list, it would be nice.

I have a working solution, store all map tiles to a local path and use that path as cache folder. But I do not have all tiles for all zoom levels of the world so I get ugly purple pictures with a red cross in it for the missing tiles. With a map server solution I will get white backgroud for the missing tiles, much nicer.

Hi Vincent,

R&D says there's no way currently to expand the enumeration list in that configuration dialog, but if you'll email me, I can tell you how to hack your own OpenStreetMap server behind one of the existing items in the list.
