Hi everyone,
i have a problem with the communication between DIAdem 2010 and CANape 9.0 from Vector.
As Hardware is ein CANcase XL from Vector being used between the UUT and my computer.
CANape driver for DIAdem has been correct installed and the DIAdem canals can be added and listed.
but when i start the test, an erro window will always be displayed with the infomation "dem DIAdem CAN Kanal 1 ist kein Hardware zugeordnet" (Sorry, in my DIAdem used language is Germen. it means that no hardware is with DIAdem CAN canal connected.)
my colleague used the same software and hardware with the same configuration but on the computer with 32-bit windows xp, and he can run the test without erro message.
so i think it can be related on the version of windows or my 64-bit processer. but i'm not sure about it
i hope someone can answer and solve this problem or may have some same experience about it.
Details:
windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit
DIAdem 2010
CANape 9.0
CANape driver for DIAdem (CANcase XL 7.4.14 (64-bit))

Hello vishunu,
so far DIAdem is only released in 32-bit version. So if you use Windows 7 64-bit DIAdem runs via Windows-on-Windows (WoW) in 32-bit-mode.
Maybe the driver of vector doesn't support 32-bit WoW?
I think you should ask Vector. Maybe there is another driver available for 32-bit versions.
Best regards
Suse
