Creating/Printing very large REPORT layout

I have some large data channels (approx. 500000 rows for a channel) and I need to print a REPORT layout that displays a resolution of approximately 500 data points per inch … so this would mean printing a very large page (h=10", w = 1000"). We have printers with paper rolls, so I think this is possible with our printing capabilities. However, DIAdem REPORT doesn't seem very happy with custom layouts exceeding 30 inches (and it's rather difficult to manipulate/move/resize things once the page gets bigger).  Has anyone done something similar or know of a work-around solution?

Thank you!

Julia,

I am having some trouble reproducing this issue on my end.  Would it be possible to get a copy of your layout file to test here?  Also, does the layout consist of just a graph of the data you mentioned?  I am unaware of any specific numeric limitation for the size of a REPORT but I know that the 500000 data points is well within DIAdem's capabilities so that shouldn't be to much of a problem.  Since this seems like a possible resource issue, I am curious what kind of PC you are running DIAdem since it may be a hardware limitation that is causing this problem.

I will do some research and see if there is any known limitation along these lines and possible workarounds.  Thanks in advance for the information.

In my german version of DIAdem 10.2 it is possible to configure the layout for a width of max. 390 inches (1000 cm).
You would have to create your graphs and texts in the report, and after that change layout width to max.
