Downloading and loading map from OpenStreetMap

Hi,
So if i need the map of israel, how could i download israel map area, and import this map to diadem?

Hi Oz,

Start with a new Map area in VIEW.

Right-click the map area and select the context menu "Display..."

Choose the Zoom level = 1 then click the <OK> button to see the whole world

Interactively zoom and scroll with the mouse until you see Israel at the desired zoom level

Right-click the map area and select the context menu "Display..."

Check the "Save map data in cache" checkbox and click the <OK> button

Interactively zoom and scroll through all the places and zoom levels you'll want to see later

(These places and zoom levels are being automatically saved to the cache)

Then later when you're offline, do this to enable the cach:

Right-click the map area and select the context menu "Display..."

Choose  the "Map type" to be "Cache" instead of one of the OpenStreetMaps servers
