Error: Module name:KERNELBASE.dll

Im testing D2019 script which works fine in D2017.

It crashed by triggering this error which is on the screenshots.

// and btw in panel script you changed the files to have TOP position instead on BOTTOM on which im used. ok maybe someone needed this feature, but i asked you years ago to create a feature to be able to CHANGE THE POSITION on loaded script files. to drag them in different positions. But no progress with this, instead you changed the position, which makes me just confused when using it instead of making my work more effective....

Hi Lukas,

The KernalBase.dll comes from Microsoft and provides low level functions like copying, string handling and check routines.  How about if we start with investigating the script you're ScriptIncluding that results in this error.  Can you send it to me?  If not, do any other scripts cause this error, or just this one that you noticed the error with?

On the Script Editor front, I strongly agree that being able to move the tabs around (and having a vertical list of of them, etc.) would be VERY helpful.  I was also non-plussed that they moved from the bottom to the top.  This was not a change that was implemented with effort, it was just an artifact of updating the underlying tool to keep up with operating system compatibility.  R&D does have your requests, and I have hopes for more fundamental updates to the SCRIPT Editor in future versions.  Sorry it's taking so long.

Hi Lukas,

I just saw your new post.  You started by saying you were running a DIAdem 2017 script in DIAdem 2019.  Now you say, "while switching the new D2019SP1 off".  Did you upgrade from 2017 to DIAdem 2019 or directly to DIAdem 2019 SP1?  Did you try to roll back an upgrade of DIAdem 2019 to 2019 SP1?  What do you mean by "switching off"?

Also, is the DIAdem 2019 you're using on the same computer as the DIAdem 2017 that the script still runs on?  This latest error looks a wounded DIAdem installation-- maybe onto bad sectors on a hard drive.

Hi,

i got installed # versions. the 2019 version i had without sp1 but our service desk reinstalled my 2019version with the offilen sp1 installer i downloaded (btw i cant use package manager as our company firewall is blocking some requests it makes, so i stick to the offline installer

i didnt try not rollback as i cant install it by myself and its quite complicated to install it cause i have no rights to install sw on my computer.

"What do you mean by "switching off"?" i meant turinng it off, closing it, killing it 🙂

Hi Lukas,

OK, so your DIAdem versions are all on the same computer, you (or your IT) installed DIAdem 2019 first, then DIAdem 2019 SP1, and no one has tried to roll it back to DIAdem 2019.  Got it.

Did the ScriptInclude() command work in DIAdem 2019 before upgrading to DIAdem 2019 SP1, or did it not work in either version?

Is it possible for you to post or email me the script "C:\LOCAL\Jonas\Jonas_Base.vbs"?

Hi,

i wont send it to you cause it useless, because the script is like controller of the whole program which includes way more scripts and controls the program, so i would have to send you the whole application.

I tested it more times, and didnt receive the kernelbase error. My script died on different thing now, the function to convert numeric channels to waveform.

In Diadem 2017 it returned array, but now it returns object. But i can fix this.

Im testing the new version. Btw when will be able DIadem 2020? I have to plan to switch to later version then the 2017 with my team of users, but if it will be soon 2020 i would prefer to wait instead of switch and have to switch again in short time. Users dont like changes to new things u get me 🙂
