Ethernet DAQ: Additional hardware requested

Hello,

I do not have experience with digital DAQ. I mainly used analog signals.

Now I have a laser sensor and the output goes over ethernet. Can I directly record the data with DIAdem or do I need any additional hardware?

If your sensor has a real Ethernet output (no Ethernet-based fieldbus, which needs a differenz approach) it may be possible to acquire data using the script driver in DIAdem DAC. A data sheet of the sensor describing its software interface would be helpful.
