Export to PDF from reports page

FYI:  I am in the US with Windows XP-english and therefore not a German OS.  Also attached is a snapshot of the version of DIAdem I am using.

Thank you Matthias,

I had loaded only the Master Layout, not the actual 7 page layout in question.  The 7 page layout gives the XY-number-oriented warnings and only exports the 1st page to PDF.

I will run this by R&D,

Hi Jim,

R&D looked into this and confirmed that the problem is the warning dialog telling you not to mix channels plotted vs. index with channels plotted vs. an explicit X channel on the same graph.  This warning dialog causes the PDF print to stop.  R&D has fixed this problem for DIAdem 11, which will go Beta at the start of Q2 2008.  For the time being, a workaround would be to change the channels you are plotting vs. index to be waveforms with the waveform offset = 1 and the waveform step width = 1.  There is no warning dialog when mixing waveforms and XY plots on the same diagram.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Thanks for the information.  Changing them to waveforms causes some of my graph formatting to change due to needing to change the scaling to automatic on the graphs.  I think I will just live with it for now and use the PicPDFExport script command to force all the pages to a single pdf file (although still not sure why doing that works and does not abort the pdf creation as it does in the report section)

Thanks again for the quick resolution and explanation

Hello Jim!

The simple workaround for this bug is to put the PicPdfExport command in a script and execute this. The reason might be that the error handling is different while a script is running. If you haven't a fixed output filename you have to add a file select dialog in front.

I am using LabVIEW 8.5 with Report Generation Toolkit version 1.1.1.

I want to align horizontaly a graphic in the centre of the page using the standard report. The Append Control Image to Report.vi has the alignment input but, this is ignore when using the standard report method. Thus, the graphic always is printed on the left.

Any idea how to change the alignment of the graphic in the standard report?

Thanks
Simbani

Hi Simbani,

You should post this question to the LabVIEW forum-- the Report Generation Toolkit is a LabVIEW toolkit that has nothing to do with the DIAdem forum.  I have no idea how to help with your question.
