Export to excel without assistant?

Hello,
I need your help once more...

I built a measurement-system that reads data from RS232 and exports it to an excel-file. That all works with an autosequenz, but I want to automate the export, so that I do not have to click on "Finish"-button.
Is that possible?
(The filename is generated automatically in my autosequenze)

Thanks for your help...

Hi Nico

If you use the DataFileSave command to export Excel data, DIAdem automatically opens the Excel Export Wizard. To prevent this, use the following command instead of the DataFileSave command:
Call ExcelExport(Excel File, "", 0, Excel Config File)

I hope this helps.

Thank you,
it works fine, but can you further tell me what the parameters like "" and 0 mean?

Ok,ok,
I should have read the DIAdem-help earlier and not ask so stupid questions, I think 😉

Sorry

Sorry, its me again.

DIAdem does not save my data. With same ExcelFile and ExcelConfigFile, it saves my data, if I use 1 for showing dialog and I press "Finish" then, but if I use 0 for not showing the dialog, nothing happens. No Error, but unfortunately no excel-file, too.

Can you tell what I'm doing wrong?

If you do not enter a path the xls file is written to the DIAdem path. Enter the Filename like "c:\test.xls"
or
Call ExcelExport(DataDrvUser & "test4.xls", "", 0, "test.stp")
If you have not selected any channel, when you create your config file DIAdem will not create a file

You're very fast in answering :-)),

but that was not my mistake I think. I used an existing path like "C:\data\Me 2004_09_27_ 162434.xls" and while creating the config-file, I had selected first three channels.

I changed nothing but 0 to 1 and back, and with dialog everything works (without any changes, too), but without it doesn't. I also have searched my Drives for *.xls, but there are no matches.

Perhaps it may help you, if you take a look at my files. Tomorrow, I will upload them, and I would be very thankful if you will try to help me again.

Thank you so far,

Nico

Here are my files. Perhaps you can take a look and analyse what I'm doing wrong...

Hi
I tested your script with DIAdem version 9.1 and 9.01 and it works. The only change I have done, was that I replace the name of the File Konfig2.stp to Konfig3.stp, because this was the file you send to me.
If you show the dialog DIAdem tells you that he could not found the config file.

Thanks.

Sorry, my mistake, in my actual script I use Konfig3.stp. My DIAdem is 8.1, but that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
Did you really get an excel-file without dialog?
