How can I adjust separately the Y-axes of n-plots in DIADem report?

Hello Ollac,

You are not being very specific in your question, so here is my answer based on my best guess of what you are trying to do.

You can move any Y-axis by simply clicking and dragging it left/right. You can adjust the parameters for each individual Y-axis by double clicking on the axis itself.

I hope that helps,

Hello Otmar,

Thank you for your answer...

Nevertheless, this doesn't help me a lot!!

I will try to be more precise...

My problem is about quick test exploitation work. We plot test data with "VIEW" and after that we transfer them to "REPORT" with the automatic function "Transfer to REPORT". Most of areas that we generate in VIEW contains n-plots and are automaticaly well fitted with min/max values (over Y-axes) when plots are zoomed over X-axis. Unfortunately, when automaticaly transfered to REPORT, X-axes is what we have zoomed in VIEW, but Y-axis is fitted on the complet set of data and not over the considered data (limited to the zoomed X-axis range). In addition, only one Y-axis by n-plot is created in REPORT, so it is impossible to adjust separately the range of data of each curve.

To summarize, is there a simple way to get exactly the same aspect (at least for X and Y-axis range of each curve of one n-plot) of a VIEW sheet and a REPORT sheet when using the automatic procedure "Transfer to REPORT" ...?

Thanks for your support

Best regards

Hi Ollac,

Generally you get exactly in REPORT what you saw in VIEW.  Would you please submit a sample data set with which you see this problem, plus a screenshot of VIEW and a screenshot of REPORT, so we can see exactly what you mean and try to reproduce it?

Hello Ollac,

You are correct with both observations:

1. The Y-axis in REPORT adapts to the full range of the X-values when you zoom into the X-axis, not into the min/max of the X-axis zoom range.

2. DIAdem does not transfer multiple Y-axes from VIEW to REPORT. R&D tried to add this as a feature, but it is currently not possible to do this due to architecture hurdles in DIAdem REPORT. There is currently no way to do this, and we are aware of this gap and looking for a long-term solution.

For the first issue, we can probably solve this with a little script or with the "Copy" function in VIEW. Let me know if you'd be interested to learn more about that.
