Hi Rob,
As you can see in the image, I'm using the same parameters you are using. The preview window tells me there is too much data for a preview, and when I click 'calculate', I get 632 output channels. After doing some digging, it looks like making the 'interval length' too small makes this happen. My data is not as large as the sample data so when I change the interval length to 1024 it doesn't do that on my data, but on yours it will. Same thing happens if I make mine too small as well. I suppose this will not be an issue now, but if I want a smaller resolution I think that will cause a problem. Also, can you explain why I have to use 'No Averaging'? The page you pointed me to didn't say why its limited to one channel at a time.
Thanks,
Ari

Ari,
Not quite sure what you meant by one channel at a time, but the Averaging that was going on is what was taking your 7 channels and combining the results into 1 averaged channel at the end. Having this set to No Averaging allows us to get the direct results of each channels, so 7 channels gives us 7 results.

Hi Rob,
I was under the impression that averaging eliminated noise from the signal, weather it was one signal or multiple. It might be that the output was different when changing that category because of the size of the interval length. Either way, are you familiar with the former problem, where I was getting hundreds of channels? This just seems like such an odd result, and if I wanted to change my 'averaging amplitudes' category to no amplitude, with the size of my data set that is what my output would be given the other parameters are the same as we discussed. If you are curious about my data, I can say the sample size is usually between 20k and 30k. As another side note, is there a way to search for Diadem built in functions by category? Currently, the only search bar I have found lets me search for functions by name, but often I don't know the exact name I am looking for.
Thanks,
Ari

Ari,
The Smoothing filters would be what you would use to reduce noise, unless I am mistaken. IS there any way you might be able to post a small data sample to test out? To answer your second question, you can use the Help in DIAdem to search for the functions you need. Also, they have the functions broken into categories so you can peruse them if you don't know what to search for.
