Hello,
I have just purchased DIAdem Advanced and wish to connect to a Citadel 5 database (developed by a 3rd party) on our LAN to view and analyse data. When I tried configuring a new data store in the Navigator section of DIAdem, I got an error message saying:
"You cannot configure the selected data source:
The National Instruments Citadel 5 database engine has not been installed on this computer."
I can't determine how to install this engine. From some research I think it may come as part of the LabVIEW Datalogging & Supervisory Control Module (which I don't have and appears to cost extra money). Can someone advise the best way to obtain it?
Many thanks,
PorridgeMan.

Hi PorridgeMan,
As a DIAdem user, all you need is to download and install the following driver:
"Lookout Development/Run-Time Systems 6.2 - Windows 2000/Vista x86/XP - Web Client"
... which you can get from the following URL:
https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/software-products/download.lookout-client.html
Note that you will also need to go to your Citadel Universe in MAX and create a profile for the external Citadel db you want to connect to before it will appear as a selectable item in the DIAdem Data Store dialog.
Let us know if you still have trouble connecting,
Brad
