Multiple Report Sheets

I have problem when working in REPORT tab with multiple sheets.

My report usualy have 60+ sheets and when I'm switching fom one sheet to another in a short time (means. after changing prox 4-10 sheets) I get error:

172 12:09:43 Error:

173 File handle for "C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\DOKUMENTY\NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS\DIADEM 2010\DOCUMENTS\EXAMPLE.TDV" file is invalid.

(Error no. 6)

174 12:09:43 Error:

175 Error when creating the report.

The temporary Windows metafile "<Internal-Metafile>" could not be created.

Please give your Windows system more memory

e.g. by enlarging the paging file.

Alternatively, reduce the number of colors used or use line display instead of surface display.

Error no. 6 i found out as Runtime Err: Overflow

So I enlarged Windows paging file from 2046 MB to 3500 MB with no effect.

Window restart doesn't help.

I have

DIAdem 11.2.0f4178 TDM

OS: Win XP 5.1.2600 SP3

Proc: 4x3325 MHz

Mem: 3326 MB

Paging file: 3500 - 6000 MB

Thank you.

Hello,

Can you run task manager to analyze the memory load while performing the actions described to generate the error?

It is high chance to use many data points and load the memory. How many data points do your reports have?

If your report has graphs, it is better to compress/trim your data before presenting it.

Hi Radek,

Did you mean switching between multiple sheets in VIEW?  Because I don't see how switching between multiple sheets in REPORT would cause an error message that talks about a file handle to a VIEW layout file (EXAMPLE.TDV).

I agree that in either case it makes sense to check the Task Manager for memory consumption, but it would be nice to know for sure what DIAdem panel you're clicking in when the error occurs.
