Novalue saved as value

I have a scripted that will load a list of files and remove all of the channels except for the first channel in each TDMS file. This all appears to work correctly. The problem I am having is when I reopen the TDMS file after a save, all of the no values have gone to 3.40282346638529E+38. If you look at the TDMS database before you save it all of these values have novalues in the fields. It is only after I close and reopen the file do I see the value above instead of no value.  I am at a lost to explain this, can anyone help.

I have attached the VBS file for the data building, incase it is something I am doing in the code.

Thanks
Bill Lane

Hi Bill,

what DIAdem and USI version are you using? (>>Help>>About)

DiaDEM 10.2F3219
USI 1.5.1.3216

As a side note, if I save the file as a TDM instead of a TDMS, the Values are saved as NoValues. It appears to only happen when I save it as a TDMS file.

Can you please check the settings for the NoValue behaviour of DIAdem.

Choose >>Settings>>Options>>General, then click on 'Compatibility...'.

Is 'Do not use NoValue substitute value' checked and 'NOVALUE' visible close to the check box?

If not, please enable this setting and restart your DIAdem. Please confirm your settings by saving the DDD file.

The 'Do not use NoValue substitute value' is checked and 'NOVALUE' is visible close to the check box.

Sounds like a complex problem. And we are still not able to reproduce it. So here are some more questions.
You are saying that before writing the data back to file the values appears as NoValue in the same instance of DIAdem, right?

Are you using a command like 'nv = 3.4....' in one of your scripts prior the loading operation? Or afterwards?

Can you provide a TDMS file before and after the laoding process? If yes, can you tell us the first postion in the channel where you expect to see NoValue.

Thanks
Stefan
