Hello,
When I plot a driven route with the DIAdem VIEW Map feature and if I zoom in I see that not all the recorded GPS datapoints are used. Is this to keep the map displaying fast? Can I adjust the amount of data points which is used?
See the attached screenshot. If I zoom the route which is plotted is confusing and very inaccurate, while the source data has the more accurate positions.
With kind regards,
Stijn

Hello Stijn,
Can you share your dataset and your VIEW Layout so that we can verify what is going wrong?

Hello ThiCop,
While I was making the files for you I discovered that the plotting accuracy is dependent from the file size. I plotted a file of 1801 seconds and the accuracy was good, when I plotted the complete file of 13980 seconds the accuracy was automatically reduced.See the attached files.
Is it maybe possible to switch off the automatic reduction with bigger files?
With kind regards,
Stijn

Hello Stijn,
As far as I know you cannot reduce this automatic reduction from inside DIAdem.
I am now double-checking this with one of my colleagues.
I will let you know once I have received his feedback.

Hello Stijn,
I promised I would come back to you and here I am.
This reduction of the amount of plotted points in the track is indeed a limitation of the shown Track in the Map Display type.
This is to be able to guarantee the necessary performance (update rate) for any data set wired to it with any type of zoom level selected.
Do keep in mind that the actual/current position (the indicator that you see move when you "playback" your movements) is completely correct/accurate in the Map Display.
The data reduction only has an effect on the track not on the current/actual position.
