RMS - Calculate interval width in %

Hello,

I would like to calculate the Root Mean Square of data. However, a value for the interval width in % is required. How can the interval width be determined?

And to what extent does a larger/smaller percentage value affect the result?

Thank you in advance.

You probably need to provide significantly more information. A plain RMS calculation does not require a width, so obviously you are using something more elaborate.  Are you looking at a ptbypt solution? What is 100% of the width? Can you point to a document or website that describes your approach?
