Stefan,

I tried to download the SIF plug-in, but I get an error message saying that the file is not available. Can you upload it again?

Thanks

Hi,

we crossed-check the internet page and the link to download the zip-file as well as the content are ok. The zip-file is located on a ftp-server and in some cases IT is blocking anonymous ftp downloads. Can you please validate if you have access rights to connect to a ftp server.

I'm using LabVIEW2011 Professional. I downloaded and installed the dataplugin for the .NRF file format.  However, LabVIEW doesn't list the plugin.  In addition to my own VI that simply uses the "List DataPlugins.VI", I ran the "Manage DataPlugins.vi" (one of LabVIEW example programs) and 'imported' the uspNicolet.uri.  While I had no errors, the file did not show up on the list.  No luck with running "Register DataPlugin.VI" either (it did not generate any errors).

I ran the set up program, UspNicolet.msi, from my local drive using admin privledges.  During the installation, I did noticed that it showed it was going to install files to "C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\Shared\USI\Plugins\\" (2 '\\' instead of 1 '\'.  I found the Nicolet .URI and .DLL files at "C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\Shared\USI\Plugins\DataPlugins\Nicolet\"

Am I missing something?  Do you have a fix for this data plugin?  Better yet, do you have a plugin for the HBM .PNRF file format.  HBM bought out Nicolet and changed the NRF format to PNRF.

Thanks!

Hi,

that is an issue with the Nicolet installer. We will fix the installer and post after we updatet the download page.

As workaround, you can simply use the Open Data Storage VI and wire the "DataPlugin" input with the plugin name "Nicolet".

Please note that the Nicolet DataPlugin is not available for LabVIEW 64bit.

Thanks!  That worked!  Now I just have to work on the "out of memory" when reading large files.

Hey mysticfree,

The Storage VIs do provide a method to request an array index subset of the values of a channel.  If buffering the data points in one block and a time would help, do know that this method exists.  For instance, many calculations can be carried out block by block, plus you can decimate channel data block by block and create a decimated graph of the values.

This is all much easier and more efficient in DIAdem, but that may not be an option for what you're doing.
