Dear All,
I have huge package of data. I need to split data to more parts according the date. Simply to set Date&Time for example
08.02.2021 6:53:37 - 08.02.2021 9:23:22 (dd:mm:yyyy hh:mm:ss) and generate all data in this timeline to new group.
Sample of data below.
I'm lost 😞
Many tanx

Hello,
as I'm guessing You are trying to do it in the LabVIEW, But its a huge job You can find example in help window.
If this information is static (there would be nothing more to add) You can split it using VBA
Or maybe You can read it in LabVIEW, and than insert it in different sheets.
Depends on where from is information coming.
Regards.

Hello,
Thank you for reply.

Hello,
Well it means this is the right time to start!
Here You can find the course manual For Diadem, and here an exercise book. Start to learn and I'm sure in the end of the course You will have all needed skills!
If You would have more questions.
Good Luck

Hi Pavel,
Does your data start in Excel, or does it start in an ASCII file and get loaded into Excel as a second (manual) step? Most truly huge data sets don't fit in an Excel file, for instance. The first step in a DIAdem script would be to load the data, and for that we'd need to create or find a DataPlugin that loads the data from the original file format. If that's an ASCII file, it would be more efficient to read the data from the ASCII file directly than from the Excel file it's been put into.

Hello,
I have already loaded the data to DIAdem. I used plugin created by self. I would share my file but it has 1,3 Gb. No chance to share it here. Now I need to create script that it will able to generate new group with all channels only from required time period.
Unfortunately I don't know how to proceed. Would it be possible to show me way?
Many thanx
Pavel

Hi Pavel,
You will have to run a script to separate your loaded channels into multiple Groups based each on a given time window. The script will have to know the channel and group name or index for the time channel, which will need to be a full datetime channel in the Data Portal. I have script already that does the separation out to groups based on the value of a numeric or string channel, but it will need to be adapted to work with datetime ranges.
In short, I'd need a subset of the data set to test with, otherwise I can't even begin to help.

Hi Brad,
really appreciate your support. Could you explain what do you mean "subset of the data set"? Maybe show me example screen of your subset.
I will try to provide as much I can. Because I really need help.
Thank you
Pavel
