TDM Server 19.6 unable to configure security settings

Hello,

I'm test-driving the TDM Server and one of the things I'm trying to do is to set up granular permissions. The idea is to make certain files accessible to certain users.

However, the "Security" button is greyed out on the SystemLink web app (see screenshots below)

Questions:

1. What do I need to do to enable security?
2. What is the typical strategy for assigning permissions? Do users normally get granted access to specific DataFinder instances, or to specific Search Areas?

What are your „Authentication Settings“ in the “NI Web Configuration” of your SystemLink TDM server?

TDM Server 19 security is based on Active Directory and needs TDM Server to access a domain controller. It looks like the system you've installed TDM Server is not inside a domain (security tabs deactivated)
