TDMS C DLL API Dependency on Xercesc 2.8

We use the TDM C DLL (DIAdem Connectivity Library) kit to read TDM and TDMS files. We are no longer allowed to install Xerces 2.8.0 DLL because of vulnerabilities listed on the OVAL security standard database http://www.itsecdb.com/oval/.

This is also the case at several US government institutions and has become a critical issue. Is there a plan to upgrade the TDM C DLL kit to use a newer version of Xerces?

Hello,

Unfortunately there are no announced plans to upgrade the TDM C DLL toolkit in the near future.

Thanks,
Sas

As a follow on there are a couple of other options you could explore:

TDM Excel Add-In for Microsoft Excel Download

How Do I Read or Write to a TDMS File Using Third Party Software?

There is also third party software, for example:

Hope this helps,
Sas

Please refer to the NI TDMS File Format web page to download the latest version of the TDMS C DLL.

The version mentioned by Heidi_K contains an updated version of Xercesc 3.1.4.

Furthermore it is built using Microsoft Visual C++ 2015.
