VariableColIndex and VariableRowIndex

Is it possible for the control in the SUD to return the property values for VariableColIndex and VariableRowIndex? It doesn't show in the "This" object intellesence.
Thanx

Hi punkmonkey,

The SUDialog Editor's intellisense unfortunately only goes down one level, but the rest of the object levels still exist and can be read and set with the standard "dot" notation.  You can find the rest of the object structure in the Online Help.

Which control are you talking about specifically?

For this particular instance a CheckBox control. I want to pass its ColIndex and RowIndex when selected to some "L" variables to let a different dialog box know what's going on.

Hi punkmonkey,

But the Checkbox control doesn't have columns and rows.  So you must mean the column and row of the Table control that this particular checkbox is in.  Are you using DIAdem 10.2, and are you using the new Xtable control?  How are you getting the Checkbox control object?  If it's in a Table control, you must already have the Table cell in order to retrieve the Checkbox object-- you should be able to get the row and column from the Table cell.

In the properties of the checkbox there is a variable, variablecolindex and variablerowindex. When the user selects this checkbox i would like to retrieve the values of the variablecolindex and variablerowindex to pass to another dialog box to make appropriate user prompts.

Hello punkmonkey!

As far as I know are these properties only available at design-time and not at run-time!

A solution is to write the index in the 'tag' property and use this at run-time. It is a string but you can cast to an integer!
