import waveform diadem

Hello. Beginning with Diadem I am having problems with the import of my data. The ASCII file contains 8 header lines with important information and after it the data. Basically the first column contains the x-values (wavelength) and the second column comntains y-values (intensity). I have managed to import the data into Diadem, creaing a filter. However, when I create a View in Diadem, the values at the x-axis are consecutive numbers from 1 to 2048 and not the desired wavelengths (which is treated as channel 1). I would like to know how to change the import filter (can it be done with the data assistant?) I am having a large amount of data and I need to preview these data in different views, one dataset after another. Is there a chance to drag the data to one view window and display them in other views as well (in one step)? I appreciate your help. An answer to the first question would be a first step. Thank you Frank

Hi Frank,

It sounds like you just dragged the Y channel by itself from the Data Portal onto the VIEW graph-- this graphs the Y channel vs. its array index on the X axis.  If you select first the X channel, then the Y channel in the Data Portal, then drag them together onto the VIEW graph, then you will get the Y channel graphed vs. the X channel on the X axis.

If you post your data set, I'd be happy to create a DataPlugin for you,
