is diadem written for multicore processors ?

I'm about to update my computer and would like to know if the latest Diadem 2011 software is written to take advantage of multicore processors ?

Hello AdeK,

DIAdem does currently not support multi-core processors.

That said, DIAdem performance will still improve with multi-core processors, since the extra core(s) can take over Windows Operating System tasks, Web browsers, security software tasks, etc.

Make sure the new PC has sufficient RAM and a fast hard disk (7200 RPM or faster), since memory and data transfer are usually much bigger factors in DIAdem processing speed than pure computing power of the CPU.
