Product Image Guidelines

Each product on the LabVIEW Tools Network should have an associated product image. This image will be used to identify your product in all marketing materials. It should communicate what your product does in a visually pleasing manner.

Example Product Images

Please provide an image that is a minimum of 400x291 pixels. If you would like the image to be used in marketing material, please provide the image in high resolution / vector format.

Two types of images can be used to identify your product: Screenshots and Product Icons. Each has slightly different guidelines.

Screenshots

  • OS window should be included with full interface
  • Do not include any desktop imagery
  • Do not apply a drop shadow
  • Use the full image space. Do not pad the image with blank pixels
  • Do not just show the palette unless you are providing only a palette of general purpose VIs

Product Icons

  • If using a color background, it must bleed to the edge
  • Avoid using radial gradients, especially gradients that transition from color to black
  • If using a gradient, use a linear gradient
  • Avoid black backgrounds
  • Use inner padding rules

Inner Padding Rules

For non-screenshot images, be sure to pad the edges of the image with a border of blank pixels. For example, on the minimum image size (400x291) pad as shown below.
