182853c-01

Hi,

I wish to use a spare 6508 DIO card to drive some relays. I also have a 100way - 100 way cable designated 182853C-01 which I thought I could use for this.

My question is regarding the cable pin out. It seems to be 1-1 except for pins 99,100,49 and 50.
Pins 99 and 100 seem to be tied together at 5v when plugged into the 6508 and Pins 49 and 50 seem to have their positions reversed, i.e. pin 50 is +5v and pin 49 is 0V.

Even with the Cable removed. Pins 99 and 100 read zero ohms on the multimeter so are shorted together.

Does anyone have the pin diagram for this cable ? Can it be used with the 6508 DIO card ?

Thanks.

Hi mike_Ian,

Unfortunatly you can not use the MIO (Multifunction I/O) cable for use on DIO products. because some common terminals inside the cable are tied together and on DIO devices, some of these lines are channels. As discussed in this Forum post.

Please also reference this KB, to find the suitable cable.
