9375 - external power supply for DO

Hello,

I have to use the 9375 module (digital outputs) to supply three relay coils independently.

I only have one 24Vdc power supply, which is already used to supply the cRIO 9057.

Is it possible/safe to connect the same 24Vdc power supply to 9375 pins Vsup and DOCOM? Is it required a different floating power supply?

Thank you

I don't remember seeing a requirement for a floating supply. I believe you can use the same 24VDC supply as long as you don't exceed the current limit and you still leave enough room for the cRIO to operate properly. It would be good to wait for another confirmation.

Just make sure the 24 Vdc power supply has enough current for both the cRIO and the module 9375. It would be nice to know how much current both the cRIO and 9375 module will be drawing.

Add the drawing currents of both 9375 module and cRIO; if they are less than the current of the power supply then yes, you can use the same power supply.

I hope the input voltage of both crio and 9375 is 24 VDC.
