Can't Install NI-DAQmx from download

Hello,

Sorry for the newbie question.  I'm trying to add a couple of lines of digital I/O to an existing C#.NET  (Visual Studio 2008 / .NET 3.5) application.  My customer has provided me with a PXI-1002 PC (that the application needs to run on) and a PXI-6527 board for the I/O.  I've tried installing the NI-DAQmx from:  https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-daq-mx.html, however when doing so, I'm presented with an error indicating that "Measurement Studio Professional Edition or higher must be installed".

Does this really mean that I need to buy Measurement Studio just to get the necessary DLLs for adding a bit of Digital I/O?  If not, what do I need to do in order to get the DLLs for my application?

You do not need Measurement Studio to use the DAQmx in .NET. Please refer to the article at the URL below for instructions during installation on how to access DAQmx functionality in .NET without Measurement Studio.
