Communication between Mitutoyo Digimatic gage and com port

I am having difficulty configuring my Mitutoyo Digimatic gage connected through a MUX-10, with my COM port.

Are you attempting to program in LabVIEW? What types of communication issues are you seeing?

Included with labview 6.1 there is a serial communication vi that with some minor modifications will talk to your gauge.

here is a copy of a modification i made fairly quick to talk to a mitutoyo gauge. Please note this vi also interfaces with a force gauge so you may want to delete that portion of the code if you do not have an E series card installed. This example also saves data to a text file.
