How can we check that new 6519 works?

We installed a new 6519 PCI card in the PC.  MAX shows it and says that the selftest and reset are working.  We have connected a voltmeter to one of the output lines and are trying to get it to toggle to a high state (~ 5 vdc) but it never changes.

Any initialization or other that we need to do first?

Hi Tom,

You are probably experiencing sinking or sourcing. Did you connect a load between VCC and the digital line? Please see Figure 14-4 on page 63 of the NI PCI-651x User Manual to see how to avoid sinking and sourcing. I hope this helps.
