How do I get my PC-DIO-24 to work with Labview 6.1 on Windows 2000

Need help to see if I can get my PC-DIO-24 to be recognized in MAX using Legacy NI-DAQ.  I have found that NI-DAQ 7.4.4T supports the board but unfortunately for me, it doesn't support LabVIEW 6.1 which is the version I own.  NI-DAQ 7.4 is the last version that supports LV6.1.  There is a gap of 2 minor revisions that is preventing me from having success... Does anyone have any suggestions?

And what happens when you install 7.4?

Based on the NI-DAQ Driver Support: Legacy ISA/PC/AT/VXI table, it appears that the NI PC-DIO-24 under Win2K is only covered by NI-DAQ (Legacy) 7.4.4  However, the readme file for NI-DAQ 7.4 (https://download.ni.com/support/softlib/multifunction_daq/nidaqmx/7.4/readme.html#TradOnlySupport) shows the board as supported and makes no mention of the Win2K incompatibility.  Soooo, I will download and try 7.4 this evening and let you know what the outcome is.  Cheers!

No. What the table is saying is that the latest version you can use for the card is 7.4.4. The download page for 7.4 expressly states that NT, 2000, and XP are supported.

I installed NI-DAQ 7.4 but still no PC-DIO-24 shows up in the list of traditional devices for me to choose from.  When I open MAX, I see my AT-MIO-16XE-50 DAQ board in the tree.  Because the DIO-24 is not PnP, I right-click on the Traditional NI-DAQ item in the MAX tree to add a device, however, the only option that is presented to me is to add a remote device.  The option for local device is disabled.  The jumper/dip switch configuration on the DIO-24 is set to factory default and I do not see any conflicts in the Windows Device Manager (the DIO-24 does not appear in the devices).  Any ideas???

Rick

Typical procedure is to install DAQ software then the hardware, so:

Try powering down the PC, remove the DIO-24 card, power up the PC.

Power down again, install the DIO-24 card and power up the PC.
