How to get a USB-6008 to function on a XP laptop?

I cannot get a new usb-6008 to be recognixed by Measurement & Automation explorer or any example codes on my XP laptop. The 6008 works fine on a XP desktop. Also on the laptop it does show as working properly in Device Manager. What do you suggest? - J Griggs

Also, what version of the NI-DAQmx driver do you have installed?
