I cant get my new PCI-6513 to operate, any suggestions?

I installed NI-DAQ 7 and a PCI-6513 card into a computer operating under windows XP and LabView 6.1.

I can see the card in max but when tring to set a data line in labview I get the error message 10401 occurred at DIO port config.

Can anyone please help me out with this problem?

Rick,

Your device, the PCI-6513, is only supported by NI-DAQmx.  The program you have is using Traditional (Legacy) NI-DAQ functions.  One important thing to point out is that NI-DAQmx is compatible only with LabVIEW 7.x.  So you will probably need to upgrade your version of LabVIEW.  After upgrading LabVIEW, install the most recent version of NI-DAQmx, and be sure to include support for LabVIEW 7.x.  Finally, take a look at the LabVIEW example finder by going to Help>>Find Examples.  Navigate to Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx.  There you will see many shipping examples, including digital measurement (input) and digital generation (output).  Hope this helps.

Thank you Alan for the quick response.  I kind of figured that my problem was due to not having the latest version of LabView.
