Low cost USB digital and anlog i/o

I need to buy a low cost usb digital i/o board. I'm looking at two. The first is the NI USB-6008 $145. The second is the Measurement and Computing USB-1208LS $109. Both have similar specs. The 6008 has a few more analog inputs while the 1208LS has a few more digital inputs.

I'm leaning towards the NI board even though it's more expensive because well, hey, it's an NI board and support for both the hardware and software are going to come from the same place as well.

Other than that, are there any technical reasons to get one over the other?

Hi Sorka,

If you just need Digital I/O, I recommend the USB-6501, which costs less than the USB-6008 and has twice the number of digital I/O lines.

Another consideration is the NI-DAQmx driver that supports the USB-6008. This driver is very easy to use and provides helpful tools like the DAQ Assistant.

Also, the USB-6008 will work with Linux and Macintosh computers with the NI-DAQmx Base driver.
