Measurement Studio dio control does not recognize pci-6518 board

The dio activeX control from Measurement Studio does not recognize a National Instruments PCI-6518 board.  I am attempting to use the 6518 in VB 6 with service pack 6 installed.  When the control is right clicked and the control's properties are viewed, the PCI-6518 is not listed!

The Measurement & Automation test panel works fine.  The board is also listed in the Windows device manager.

Hey Bernard,

Are you using a NI-DAQ version at or below 7.4?  The PCI-6518 can only be used with DAQmx, however for the versions of DAQmx mentioned do not support Visual Basic 6.  This is most likely the reason why you are not able to access the properties for the card.  The following link discusses this in more detail, and offers a workaround for this issue.

I finally discovered that VB6, a PCI-6518 and NI-DAQmx do not work together.  The problem was solved by reverting to a PCI-6503, NI-DAQ and VB6.  That works fine.

FYI, NI-DAQmx 7.5 now fully supports VB6.  See this KB.

Seems that you are familiar with DAQ, MStudio for VB6 and DAQmx. I have a problem using MStudio for VB6 beside DAQmx (see this link). Perhaps you could help me!?
