My DAQ card is not responding

The daq card had been installed and was being used to drive stepper motors with Labview 6.1. Then I installed Labview 7.0 on the same comp and intially everything workes but then I uninstalled Labview 7.0 by selecting the relevant options from the list of National Instruments softwares. I admit the possibility of having unknowingly removed soem component of Labview 6.1. However after reinstalling Labview 7.0 into the comp the motors are not responding.
The driver version we were using is NI DAQ 7.0 and everything installes nicely and the daq card is recognized by the MAX. However when the Labview programme is run the motors do not respond.
We also tries to install just Labview 7.0 on a different comp but after installing everything an
d connecting the DAQ card in that comp..when the programme is run we get an error ---

Error -10001 occurred at DIO Port Config
Possible reason(s):

NI-DAQ LV: An error was detected in the input string; the arrangement or ordering of the characters in the string is not consistent with the expected ordering.

Strangely enough this is the same error that I get from my desktop which has no DAQ card installed.
I am attaching the programme that we use for moving the motor. One strange thing is that this programme when copied from the original place to the new comp where we installed labview 7.0 changed in its behaviour. The option of slecting the Digital Input Output channel became dead and nothing happens on clicking the option though it has the options of REceiver or Transmitter in the original programme.

Kindly help as there is lot of work stuck because of this problem.

Are you able to successfully run test panels on the DAQCard in MAX? It almost sounds like your original program used virtual channels. Upon uninstalling everything, you may have deleted those virtual channels. Below is a knowledge base that discusses this idea a little bit more. Respond with additional information if this does not seem to be the case.

Thanks for the help. The problem is solved.
Yes, on the new computer I had not configured the channels. But the actual problem was in hardware, the cable connecting the DAQ to controller of motors is faulty.
