Hello,
I use a NIX 4472 acquisition card to measure sound with a microphone.
The output signals of my microphone have an amplitude between 1e-5 and 1 volt.
Thus, since the amplitude range of the NIX 4472 cars is +/- 10 V I do not make full use of the 110 dB dynamic range of the card.
Is there a way to tune the card to amplify the input signals to a maximum amplitude of 10 Volt?
Or do I have to make use of external amplifiers? micrphone->amplifier->NIX 4472
If I have to use an external amplifier? What amplifier should I use (specs) in order to make full use of the specs of the NIX 4472 card (dynamic range etc).
Thank you for answering the question.
Best Regards,
Jeroen

Dear Jeroen,
thank you so much for your post on our forum. There are Dynamic Signal Analyzers available with different ranges, unfortunately this one hasn't a selectable range. If you want to macht the range you will have to arrange this exernally.
