NI-DAQ 6.9.3 installation setup is in wrong language

An Labwindows application was being installed in China along with NI-DAQ 6.9.3 onto a Win2K(Chinese language?) PC. The NI-DAQ installation setup came up in a language that looked like German. The NI-DAQ must have not installed properly because a 1605 eror came up. A previous posting produced the solution to the install problem but I am curious about the language discrepancy that may have caused the install problem. I just found out about the language problem so I didn't include it in my original 1605 error question.

Dave,
The knowledge base linked below discusses this issue and a way to resolve it. However, if you continue to have problems, I would recommend uninstalling your current version of NI-DAQ and upgrading to the latest version, NI-DAQ 7.2.

Hi,

The NI-DAQ installer checks your regional language settings. The following link is to a KnowledgeBase that explains this.

If the regional language is not one of the supported languages (English, German, French, and Japanese), the default seems to be German. The following is a link to a KnowledgeBase about this issue.

These two links should clear up why you were seeing German as the language. However, I could not find any information linking the 1605 error with language problems. Just let us know if this information doesnt clear up any installation issues.
